I love school supplies. I miss those exciting days when the kids would be getting ready for the new school year. Something special about a new book bag full of pristine supplies.

My babies are 27 and 25, both married and no longer in school (thank God). My son, Russell, cried everyday of school until the end of second grade. Everyday through tears he would sob, "are you going to pick up me?" I had never even been late one time to pick him up in his whole life and I was a stay at home mom. I even wrote in the top of his lunch box "I will pick you up" and told him what it said when he was a pre-reader. That way he could be assured of a ride home when he took his lunch break. He has now graduated from OSU and just got married. Seems like yesterday I was pealing him off my leg sobbing and shoving him into his classroom...
